Come and hear Ian Manovel, Associate Director of Analytics at Bupa, share his knowledge and experience: “Reflections on a business school education – a stepping stone from a clinical role to management consultancy”. A pharmacist by training, Ian studied MSc International Health Management before his career in consultancy first at the Centre for Health Management, and then at Tribal where he worked for 4 years and was appointed as Director. He has been at Bupa Health Dialogue since September and specialises in translating clinical activity into financial results for providers and commissioners through strategy, coding and analytics. Full of tips and insights into entering the field of healthcare consultancy, this promises to be a fabulous evening for clinical and non-clinical students alike. The talk will be followed by drinks and networking”

Imperial College Business School Careers Event
Come and hear Matt Bassford, Research Leader, Defence RAND Europe talk about “Think Tanks; Role, Approach and Examples – and – RAND, MBA projects & potential career opportunities”
Matt is an Imperial College MBA alumnus and joined RAND after a talk at Imperial College in 2007. Not a university and not a consultancy, but with the capabilities of both, RAND is an independent not-for-profit research institute – often referred to as a ‘think tank’. The RAND Corporation is a non-profit institution that helps improve policy and decision making through research and analysis. An event with broad appeal, RAND considers healthcare, education and the environment alongside national security, terrorism and international affairs. http://www.rand.org/ The talk will be followed by drinks and networking.
